Claudia Ortiz Arraiza
Trainee
Claudia Ortiz Arraiza was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She started training at the Conservatorio de Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico and graduated in 2006. Between 2008 and 2010 she was a member of the Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico.
She is engaged at the Bavarian State Ballet as a trainee since the 2010/2011 season and is a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Antonia McAuley
Trainee
Antonia McAuley was born in Auckland, New Zealand, where she started her training. From 2008 on she was trained at the Royal Ballet School in London. She danced in the Corps de ballet of the Royal Ballet in La Valse, Symphony in C, Giselle and Swan Lake.
Since the beginning of the season 2011/2012 she is engaged as a trainee at the Bavarian State Ballet and belongs to the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballett II.
Nicha Rodboon
Trainee
Nicha Rodboon was born in Bangkok, Thailand. She was educated at the Aree School of Dance Arts in Thailand. Since 2008 she studied at the English National Ballet School where she graduated in 2011. She danced in the Corps de ballet of the English National Ballet.
Since the beginning of the season2011/2012 she is a trainee at the Bavarian State Ballet and belongs to the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Alexandra Paige Stewart
Trainee
Alexandra Paige Stewart was born in Australia. She was educated at the Christine Walsh Dance Centre and the Australian Ballet School. During the last years of her studies she danced in the corps de ballet of the Australian Ballet (“Coppelia”) and with the Opera Australia (Steven Heathcote’s “Julius Caesar”) as well as with “The Dancer’s Company” tour. Several scholarships and school encouragement awards. She joined the Bavarian State Ballet as a trainee at the beginning of season 2011/2012 and is a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Chinatsu Sugishima
Trainee
Chinatsu Sugishima was born in Kobe, Japan. 15 years old she started training at the Otsuka Reiko Ballet School. In 2007 she joined the Heinzl-Bosl-Foundation's Ballet Academy. An engagement at the Theatre Magdeburg for Giselle followed.
Since the beginning of the season 2010/2011 she is a trainee of the Bavarian State Ballet and a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Jacopo Bellussi
Trainee
Jacopo Belussi was born in Genoa, Italy. He was educated at the La Scala Theatre Ballet School, Milan and finished his studies at the Royal Ballet School in London. Danced in the Corps be ballet of the Royal Ballet in “Onegin”, “Cinderella” and “Swan Lake”. Since the beginning of season 2011/2012 he is engaged as a trainee with the Bavarian State Ballet and belongs to the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Andrei Dan Berihoi
Trainee
Andrei Dan Berihoi, born in Iasi, Romania, started training at the Akademie des Tanzes Mannheim and graduated in 2008. Then he joined the companies of the National Opera Isai, the National Opera Bucharest, the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe and the Landestheater Salzburg.
He joined the Bavarian State Ballet as a trainee at the beginning of season 2010/2011. Furthermore he is a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Nicola Strada
Trainee
Nicola Strada was born in Cesena, Italy. He studied at the La Scala Theatre Ballet School where he graduated in 2010. He danced in the corps de ballet of La Scala Theatre Ballet in „L’Orfeo“ (Robert Wilson), „Le Sacre du Printemps“ (Béjart), „L’Oiseau de feu“ and „Don Quixote“.Summer courses in the USA (Central Pennsylvania Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet).
Since the beginning of the season 2010/2011 he danced as a scholarship holder of the Ballet-Academy with the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Ballet II. He was promoted as a Trainee at the beginning of the season 2011/2012.
Shawn Throop
Trainee
Shawn Throop was born in New Brunswick, Canada. He started training at Canada's National Ballet School. There he received an engagement for Swan Lake, followed by an engagement at the Ballet School of Hamburg for their 20th anniversary.
Shawn Throop joined the Bavarian State Ballet as a trainee at the beginning of season 2010/2011 and is a member of the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Nadja Khan
Scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation
Nadja Khan was born in Montana, USA. She was educated by Masha Mukhamedov in Athens, at the John Cranko Ballet School Stuttgart and the Ballet School Berlin. Took part in summer schools of the Royal Ballet School and the English National Ballet School in London, the American Ballet Theatre in California and as well as summer school in Cannes with Rosella Hightower. Her repertoire includes “La Sylphide/ Chopiniana”, “Serenade” (Balanchine), Pas de Deux in “Don Quixote” and the Esmeralda Pas de Deux.
Since the beginning of the season 2010/2011 she dances as a scholarship holder with the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Elisa Mestres
Scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation
Elisa Mestres was born in Paris and received her training at the Studio Skouratoff in Montpellier, France and at the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation in Munich. She was awarded several honours at ballet competitions, for example a gold medal at the international ballet competition in Biarritz and Grasse. Ms. Mestres was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne in 2008.
Since the beginning of the 2010/2011 season, she is a scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation and dances with the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Georgeta Varvarici
Scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation
Georgeta Varvarici was born in Chisinau, Moldavia. There she received training at the National Choreographic College of Moldavia and graduated at the Academy for Perfomring Arts Munich in 2010.
Since the beginning of season 2010/2011, as a scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation she dances with the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Matteo Dilaghi
Scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation
Matteo Dilaghi was born in Bagno a Ripoli, Italy. In 2007 he received a scholarship for La Scala Theater Ballet Scholl where he graduated in 2011. He danced in the Corps de ballet of La Scala Theatre Ballet in Swan Lake (Nureyev) and The Merry Widow. He attended Summer schools of the American Ballet Theatre, New York (a.o. Lupe Serrano, Kevin McKenzie, Wes Chapman), Madrid (Loipa Araujo) and Florence (Paul Chalmer).
Since the beginning of season 2011/2012, as a scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation he dances with the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Thomas Gordon
Scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation
Thomas Gordon was born in Birkenhead, England. He was educated at the English National Ballet School (2007-2009) and the John Cranko School in Stuttgart where he graduated in 2011. He danced in the corps de ballet of the Stuttgarter Ballett in Cranko's Romeo and Juliet.
Since the beginning of season 2011/2012, as a scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation he dances with the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Ballet II.
Carlos Salcedo de Zarraga
Scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation
Carlos Salcedo de Zarraga was born in Granada, Spain. He was educated at the Central School of Ballet in London. After international masterclasses and workshops, BA in Professional Dance and Performance. Took part as dancer and choreographer (classical variations and a Pas de deux to Chopin compositions) at the Joven Fiesta de las Culturas in Granada. In 2010 he was in the Ballet Central Touring Company in the UK. Repertoire included pieces from Swan Lake, Giselle, Song to St. Andrew (David Nixon).
