"Exits and Entrances" is back
Richard Siegal's Unitxt became the surprise hit of the past season. Choreographed in Siegal's signature 'if-then-method' based on the action-reaction law, the piece features costume objects by top Munich designer Konstantin Grcic. The handles placed on the dancer’s corsets open up new movement dimensions. Combined with the electronic music score by DJ Carsten Nicolai, Unitxt is 25 minutes of high-speed dance.
Merce Cunningham’s BIPED is the opposite. A piece that slowly and steadily carries the audience away to the dancing spheres of the distinct Cunningham style. The music by Gavin Bryars will once again be performed live.

Merce Cunningham's BIPED and Richard Siegal's Unitxt
In the season 2013/2014, we will find and publish a quote every month that can be seen as affiliated with the topic of a performance series on the schedule of the Bavarian State Ballet.
We want to point out the relation between dance and the other arts as well as extend the perspective from the choreographic point of view to the whole meaning of 'Dance Country Germany'.
