Steven Cohen, a visual and performance artist from South Africa, uses his own body as the principal instrument in his artistic research into the quest for identity. His latest work, Golgotha, is an attempt to detect dance somewhere in an empty space between the immorality of commerce (where everything is for sale) and the rites of mourning (for everything ends with death).
