Elif Aytekin
comes from Turkey and studied voice, among other places, in Izmir. She won prizes at competitions and attended the summer academy at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She also acquired experience in choral conducting with several choruses in her homeland. She has worked with such institutions as the Europe Opera Center, where she appeared in Ravel’s
L’enfant et les sortilèges and has given concerts in Turkey and Germany. In 2007 she became a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera.

Laura Rey
studied voice, among other places, at the Conservatory of Puerto Rico and at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and was herself active as a teacher. She has not only sung such operatic roles as Mimì (
La Bohème), Morgana (
Alcina) and Miss Jessel (
The Turn of the Screw) in North and Central America, but has also gathered experienced in the rock and pop field. Beyond this she is a dedicate composer and was nominated in Los Angeles as “Best Latin Music Songwriter of the Year 2000”. Since the autumn of 2007 she has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera.

Stephanie Hampl
was born in Munich and studied voice at the Music Academy in Augsburg as well as the Academy of Music and Theatre in Munich. She was a member of Helmut Deutsch’s recital class and attended master classes with Rudolf Piernay, Margaret Baker Genovesi and Brigitte Fassbaender. In academy opera productions she was heard as Dorabella (
Così fan tutte) and Ramiro (
La finta giardinera). Beyond this, she has made appearances in Würzburg, in the Chamber Opera at Rheinsberg Palace and has also worked with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester. Besides this she won a grant from the Richard Wagner Society and the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart. Since the autumn of 2007 she has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera.

Ho-Chul Lee
Ho-Chul Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea, and completed his vocal studies at the Seoul National University. Since October of 2005, he has studied opera at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Hamburg. He was a prize-winner at a number of international competitions and was singled out as “Leading Musician for the 21st Century” as well as “Tenor of the Year” by the Korean Broadcasting System. He has already made appearances as Tamino (
Die Zauberflöte) and Turiddu (
Cavalleria rusticana) at the Korean National Theatre and as Ferrando (
Così fan tutte) in Hamburg. Since the autumn of 2007 he has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera.

Adrian Sâmpetrean
Adrian Sâmpetrean was born in 1983 in Cluj-Napoca, Rumania. He completed his vocal studies in 2006 at the “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy in his native city; following which he attended master classes with Ion Buzea and Mariana Nicolesco. In 2006 he made his stage début at the Rumanian National Opera at the Rumanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca as Colline (
La Bohème) followed by appearances as Raimondo (
Lucia di Lammermoor). In addition he was a prize-winner at a number of singing competitions (International “Hariclea Darclee” Singing Competition, International “Eugenia Moldoveanu” Singing Competition, etc.) Since 2007 he has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
