Opera for All
Opera for All 2015
On the programme for the Munich Opera Festival 2015 are, once again, two Opera for All events. The Festival Concert on the 18th July, conducted by Philippe Jordan, offers a Russian programme with Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition as well as Igor Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du printemps. As usual, the introduction is provided by the Youth Orchestra ATTACCA, playing Antonín Dvořák’s Carnival Overture in A-Major, Op. 92.
Closing the Munich Opera Festival is the second Opera for All event. On the 31st of July, the Bayerische Staatsoper will put on the last performance of the season, Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, which will be simultaneously broadcasted live in the Max-Joseph-Platz in full audiovisual splendor. Performing the main roles in this new production are Anna Netrebko and Jonas Kaufmann!
Entrance to Opera for All is - as always - completely free!
As a result of regulations issued by the Department of Public Order and Security, sharp and bulky items such as glass bottles, chairs and stools are not permitted. Umbrellas are an exception.
